Portal Carpentry is led by Inny, a NSW Licensed Carpenter with over a decade of experience across residential renovations and commercial construction.

Raised within a multi-generational carpentry family, the trade was not simply learned — it was lived. This early exposure to construction standards, work ethic and craft discipline continues to shape the quality expectations behind every project.

Professional experience extends beyond residential renovations into commercial fit-outs, including involvement in premium hospitality spaces notably Kuon Omakase, Darling Square, working alongside Gear Project. Exposure to commercial-level detailing and compliance requirements has influenced Portal Carpentry’s structured, methodical approach to residential work.

Over the years, our work has ranged from practical, value-driven renovations through to architecturally considered spaces designed with long-term intent. While efficiency and delivery timelines are understood, the focus remains on creating well-built environments that hold their integrity beyond surface finishes.

Projects are delivered in collaboration with licensed and insured trades selected for their professionalism, workmanship standards and reliability. Trade coordination is carefully managed to ensure compliance, accountability and consistent build quality throughout every stage of the project.

Today, all projects are personally overseen by the licensed director from initial scope through to completion. This ensures compliance with the National Construction Code, structural integrity and correct sequencing of trades, precision in wet-area and structural works, clear communication throughout the build, and consistent quality control from demolition through to handover.
